I just lost my father in Oct and when I was going through things to get rid of my aunt begged me for my Mother’s cast iron cookware - I gave it to her since I have several cast iron skillets of my own. You would have thought I gave her gold!

I find them in garage sales all the time, some frying pans big enough to fry a dozen eggs at once, and not scrambled either!

I’ve even found cast iron Dutch ovens.

American-made cast iron cookware... with literally generations of seasoning (if cared for properly), IS more precious than gold.
