So you are willing to compromise your principles by patronizing a business led by people who have demonstrated principles that you claim not to share?

An apology isn’t good enough for me.

There are lots of other places to buy iron cookware, candy and Gaither CDs.

A breakfast taco from just about anywhere will do me just fine.

It is negative/positive reinforcement, in my opinion, just like training a dog.

CB did something incredibly stupid. They quickly received an abundance of negative reinforcement. They have now apologized. I will return to doing business with them which is positive reinforcement.

Hopefully, they will re-evaluate their policy of whether or not to jump into PC knee-jerk reactions which may alienate their consumer base in the future.

Corporations across the country have been incorporating political correctness nonsense for decades. I am hopeful we are seeing the first signs that middle America has had enough and that we are not going to take it anymore.

The principles of a business are profit. They were afraid of losing profits because of GLAAD, NAACP, etc. They realized, albeit lately, that their profits came form another segment of society. They have corrected that error (at least for now).

I can once again look forward to enjoying their pancakes which are sublime and can do so with a clear conscience (unless they screw up again, of course).

Some dogs aren’t worth training.

When you get to be CEO you are not allowed to make mistakes. You are paid huge, sometimes obscene, amounts of money not to make stupid mistakes. This one is about as stupid as it gets and is currently only eclipsed by the A&E position. They had handlers with Phil what’s his bucket. They could have and should have controlled the damage.

CB CEO did this all on her own and all on her watch. Time for her to go do something else.

Someone got pretty close to right... the corporation should be neutral and allow their customers to make their own decisions. IF enough customers turn away they need to change the business model.
