Oakland schools' mission to end child trafficking
SF Chronicle: "McClung knew that she and other school district officials couldn't fight the problem on the streets. But they could take it on in the classroom. Their goal, starting in the spring, is to give every seventh-grader in an Oakland public middle school an education on sexual exploitation and how to stop it."
They're calling it "child trafficking" instead of prostitution. There's no mention of penalties leveled at the johns who keep them in business.
public schools keep sexualizing kids
“They’re calling it “child trafficking” instead of prostitution. There’s no mention of penalties leveled at the johns who keep them in business.”
There is a big push to publicize this in my area due to the upcoming Super Bowl. We normally have prostitutes in some of the urban areas (and increasingly with Asians in “massage parlors” in suburban areas), but I think you really have to look for their services to find them - it isn’t done much openly anymore.
