You know the “liberal mafia” isn't going to let him survive, his views are a threat to everything they stand for. They will keep it up, twisting every comment he ever made, maybe find somebody to say he used the n-word in high school, whatever it takes. Until he just gives up and drops out of public sight or is reduced to crying apologetic wreck like Paula Deen (can't really see that last one happening though).
