Let's try that again with better formatting, lol: You have the right to say anything you want, except at work. And there is the rub. The government can’t stop you, but your employer can fire you.

He was speaking of his religious beliefs. If I'm not mistaken, employer discrimination on this basis is not legal.

Actually, it is. I picked 1989 for a reason. That was when I got a memo from management regarding religious stuff at work. I worked at a large company.

Thing is, if anyone who disagrees with your religion complains (especially a customer) about your comments, you are toast, if the company has no spine. And the excuse will be that you were violating the religious rights of the other person.
