It used to be a different world.
I enjoyed my time there.
When it as time to leave, it was time to leave.

It’s a battery pig, but it’s first generation so I can excuse that.

You''re a lucky man, and so's your family, to still have you in the vertical mode. I'm a 52-yr smoker, and have clear lungs, heart and brain. I read/know about a number of guys who have heart attacks while deer hunting, every season here in PA.
I do carry a bullet (.32cal) from 1974, but it's a non-issue. I was very lucky that night.

My dad died of congestive heart disease. My grandfather on my mothers side also died of a heart attack back in the 60’s.
That’s about it for history.

Both of my grandfathers suffered from different heart conditions. Definitely in the family for me.
Glad you’re here!

Brother wants me to ride the Himalayas on Royal Enfields.
I say that is great, but brother you are in the wilderness.
You had better have a plan when things get sideways.

He had his first heart attack at 57, th3e on at 62 did him in.
His Twin brother that lead the exact same life? (they competed constantly)
He lived till 76 and died of pulmonary failure.
Go figure.

I find it a bit of a quandary.
They were identical twins and lead the same lives.

Good advice. And a couple of back-up plans, since the first plan almost always goes south, too. Lots of variables and unknowns in the wilderness, even if you think you’re prepared to the max.
