How is the electricity to run your car generated?
Unicorn farts.
The point here is not to eliminate all oil use.
Oil will still be used in rocket fuel generation, plastics, fertilizers etc.
The point is to lower oil use where our Domestic production far exceeds our needs that what OPEC/Russia does is irrelevant.
And diesel has not role in the production of electricity that I use for my car since all of it is either natural gas or hydro. But it would be ok if it was.
Point is we don’t need oil to power cars anymore.
Soon we won’t need diesel to power trains.
