It was cool.

That will make it easier for us to understand our Chinese overlords when they come for us.

And look at it this way: our standard of living is going to go so low that we can start manufacturing again.

+1. Even with all our problems due to discord over Vietnam and the draft, nobody doubted that we were a great nation then.

Obamao has set back our space program many years.

He has also destroyed our image of strength overseas. President Bush was always accused of this by the left, but it actually took one of their own to accomplish the deed.

That’s when Americans were proud to do an honest day’s work. Now there’s tens of millions of squatters who are proud of how they “got over” on the system.

“I remember when we were a superpower.

It was cool.”

Sigh... Me as well.
This makes me remember:

“Narrator: The Mercury program was over. Four years later, astronaut Gus Grissom was killed, along with astronauts White and Chaffee, when fire swept through their Apollo capsule. But on that glorious day in May 1963, Gordo Cooper went higher, farther, and faster than any other American - 22 complete orbits around the world; he was the last American ever to go into space alone. And for a brief moment, Gordo Cooper became the greatest pilot anyone had ever seen. “

and

“Jack Ridley: Put the spurs to her, Chuck. “
