Sarah Palin on Thursday apologized for comments that suggested Pope Francis might be adopting liberal positions.
Palin had said on CNN on Tuesday that the Pope has "had some statements that to me sound kind of liberal, has taken me aback, has kind of surprised me."

Why, she was and is 100% correct....
So there you go...she relied on the media, said she was relying on the media and noted that she reserved the right to change her position based on the facts...
So the MEDIA ought to apologize for misleading the public.
But why would the media apologize for that? It misleads ALL the time.
He’s a JESUIT.....they almost ALWAYS have LIBERAL leanings!!! Luckily it’s just in this so far and not in GAY MARRIAGE, MARRIED PRIESTS, WOMEN PRIESTS, ABORTION!!!!!
Ideological for sure, but ignorant as well .the idea that free exchange economies depend on the good will of those with the money it does not. Govt control depends on that ..
Why would you care who posts what? Does FreeRepublic belong to you?
“Palin apologizes”
Why?
It’s the WAPO. They’re scrapping the bottom of the barrel for some dirt to report, instead of covering Barry’s Excellent Adventure, or Bengahzi, Syria, Iran, Obamacare pain, and the stinky economy.
A couple of observations, from someone who frankly wishes the bickering would stop:
The OP from WaPo is dated early November and the Pope’s statements on economics occurred after Mrs. Palin apologized. These two events do not necessarily conflate.
Second, and I’m asking you in particular because we’ve had good discussions before, is there some reason an institution as important and influential as the Vatican can’t find anyone who can accurately translate the English language? It would seem to me that a lot of discord could be avoided.
Bless your day.
Catholics pull the old “nativist card” and critics fold like a road map.
For what should she apologize, FR Catholics? Virtually all of you have stated concerns along those same lines.
Thanks BarnacleCenturion.

Because this article is almost a month old and has already been discussed here. Why post it now?
Does FreeRepublic belong to you?
No, but I've been a dues-paying member here since 1999, so I have the right to bitch.
Why would being a dues-paying member since 1999 give you the right to bitch at someone, for what they post? Do you not have the right to move on to other posts that would be more interesting to you?
i dont apologize i just kiss ...
So obviously, the poster has an agenda.
Your ad-hominems are irrelevant to my argument.
