Why am I not surprised? A Pope who downplays morality and repentance, who makes silly statements like ‘Just say no to war!’ and who attacks free markets and argues for one world government to impose economic equality...yep, he sounds like someone Time would approve of!

How dare you? Do you really think Time Magazine would actually pick someone because they mirror and promote leftist views? And for those who might not know...../s

“who makes silly statements like Just say no to war”.
You mean like every other Pope who has ever lived?
And when has Francis ever “downplayed morality and repentance”? Inquiring minds want to know.

Oh no, not a Pope who says no to war, I bet it makes you long for the day when Popes not only supported war, but waged it.
Next thing you know he will denounce capital punishment

Francis started off by decrying wealth within the clergy -- good. Then he started denigrating that the Church maintains art and artifacts -- wellll, I guess it must be that Jesuit simplicity. Fine I guess. Then he started badmouthing traditionalists -- uh-ho, but maybe he's just being misinterpreted. Then he made some passing comments seemingly against capitalism -- I HOPE he is being misinterpreted. Then there was that ridiculous "world yout day" in Rio, with thousands of girls in bikinis prancing in the surf during the million-person mass -- poorly executed event...Maybe not his fault...? Then a veritable avalanche of comments and interviews pissing on traditionalists, promoting this hippie-ish "do whatever you feeeeel is the right thing," and soft-pedaling on things like gay lifestyle -- again, we were stridently reassured that its ALL misinterpretations. Then that horrible document calling for governmental redistribution of wealth and an end to capitalism -- yet again, angrily told THATS NOT WHAT HE MEANT. Now Time magazine fawns over him, and I'm supposed to be happy? If the left is so happy with him. He's wrong. Simple as that.
I tried to stay optimistic about the pope, but I came to the point when I had to admit he's a complete disaster -- especially after Benedict, who was such a good pope.
At this point all I can do is try to glean amusement from the contortions some put themselves through in order to justify his ramblings and correct all these "misinterpretations." That, and start looking up PiusX chapels in my area.

"Pope Francis at Mass: Praying is a bit like annoying God Pope Francis spoke on the theme of prayer on Thursday, saying when we pray its a bit like annoying God so that he listens to us. His remarks came during his homily at the morning mass in the Santa Marta guesthouse."
The Pope is probably annoyed that more people are not praying to Mary. No created being can hear prayers. Only the Lord can hear prayers. The RCC cult sees Jesus as angry and judgmental and only Mary's intercession can save us. The RCC cult is a Mystery Babylon religion hiding behind a facade of Christianity.

Sarah Palin approves too. I am comfortable with the Pope because he has been made out to be liberal due to liberal rags taking his words out of context. I am shocked that supposedly intelligent people are find the liberal rags Gospel suddenly.

Rush Limbaugh was talking today about this. He says that the ONLY reason why Time (aka, Liberals) would have awarded him this “honor” is because of his supposed slam against Capitalism. They know he is staunchly pro-life, against abortion, gay marriage, contraception, etc. - all the sacraments of Liberalism - but because he said some things that sounded like anti-captialism, he gets their vote. If I were him, I'd be embarrassed by this!
