Once there was a boy so meek and modest, he was awarded a Most Humble badge. The next day, it was taken away because he wore it. Here endeth the lesson.
How do you practice humility from the most exalted throne on earth? Rarely has a new player on the world stage captured so much attention so quicklyyoung and old, faithful and cynicalas has Pope Francis. In his nine months in office, he has placed himself at the very center of the central conversations of our time: about wealth and poverty, fairness and justice, transparency, modernity, globalization, the role of women, the nature of marriage, the temptations of power.

“Oh no, not a Pope who says no to war”
Pope Francis made that statement in reference to Syria when Obama was gearing up to go to war.
The fools attacking the Pope are siding with Hillary and Obama on this one. They are immoral bastards and will likely go to hell.
His Marxist rant got him past the finish line.
No. Cruz would and probably will make and excellent President of the United States.
The eligibility issue has been hashed over at length, and JimRob has made is completely clear that he, based on credible sources. considers Cruz eligible. People trying to stir up trouble on that score aren't especially cared for.
How can it not be clear? He was born in Canada. He was not naturally born in the United States of America. I don’t get how this can be unclear. NOT. BORN. IN. THE. UNITED STATES. PERIOD.
JimRob is wrong then. Sorry to hear it. We’ll take this up on another thread if it comes up. I don’t want to hijack this one. /end
‘Just say no to war’ is a bumpersticker, not a thought. How do you prevent evil from controlling everything if good refuses to fight?
As for denouncing capital punishment - God did not, so why should he?
“Compassionate fellow-feeling, however, can soon become self-indulgent and lead to spiritual pride. It imparts an inner glow, like a shot of whiskey on a cold day, but like whiskey it can prevent the clear-headedness which we need at least as much as we need warmth of heart. Pascal said that the beginning of morality was to think well; generosity of spirit is not enough.”
The Pope’s bumpersticker morality is an embarrassment. His predecessor had a mind. This Pope seems to be lacking it. He is like a 1967 hippie singing instead of someone with moral vision - which is WHY he was picked by Time magazine!
The reason it’s not clear to me, is that he is a citizen by birth through his mother. He never had to go through the naturalization process, because he was a citizen by birth through his mother. Because of legal standards such as this, that’s why it’s unclear to me whether Ted Cruz can run for president.
To my knowledge, courts have never ruled on exactly what natural born citizen with reference to presidential eligibility means. Which is also why it’s unclear to me, even though apparently very clear to you.
I have to agree with you.
Neither was George Washington born in the United States of America.
“Do you really think Time Magazine would actually pick someone because they mirror and promote leftist views”
You mean like all those “liberal” soldiers that were recognized in 2003 when “The American Soldier” was selected instead of one individual person. The awards plays no favorites. The person who has generated the most news coverage usually wins it every time. Hell, George Bush won it for invading Iraq.
Oh, oh, OH — YIPPEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Endorsement from a leftist POS ragazine: Priceless!
Obozo will not be pleased. Probably cried, rolled on the floor and held his breath as soon as he heard this.
Bergoglio sure has a nice bunch of fans.
As a Roman Catholic who is serious about faith, I am starting to look elsewhere.
Between this Pope, the malfeasance of the clergy, and the Churches’ positions on immigration, redistribution of wealth and gun control, I’m about done with the institution.
I’m very thankful my views/opinions/thoughts about the Pope have nothing to do with my eternal destination. I pray that you don’t think yours do with regard to yours...
I'm with you...it's funny how every utterance from this Pope seems to be 'misinterpretted'. Youd thisnk if no one could interprit him correctly he'd be a little more careful about what he says.
BTW I agree with your tagline. Fate is inexorable.
She was right the first time, she should not have apologized. Anyone who does not see the pope for what he is (a liberal) is blinded by their own desire to see him as "their guy." They manufacture a fantasy of what they want him to be, instead of dealing reality.
The Pope is probably annoyed that more people are not praying to Mary. No created being can hear prayers. Only the Lord can hear prayers. The RCC cult sees Jesus as angry and judgmental and only Mary's intercession can save us. The RCC cult is a Mystery Babylon religion hiding behind a facade of Christianity.
I'm very, very, disappointed with much...indeed most of the Church's hierarchy. But they are NOT the Church. The Church is the mystical body of Christ. I could never leave the Church no matter how much the men who seem to rule Her on earth fail. We all fall short of the glory of God and priests, bishops and Popes are no exception.
