Just sayin' that when one is carrying a gun, open or concealed, for defense, it is better in the public eye to refer to one's gun as a firearm vs. calling it a weapon, which suggests an intent to attack, that's all. Zimmerman was defending himself with his firearm, against a deadly assault.
Of course, my license is one to carry a deadly weapon. But I do not refer to it as that.
