Another one of those situations where all I need to say is: see the tag line.
Talk about strange bedfellows. I wonder what *those* children will look like.
The devil you say?
Why I think it is wonderful ...
It will just sit there. It will do nothing. People won’t flock to it. People won’t be influenced to turn to Satan by it. It will prove to be useless and inept and ever so slightly silly.
The best way to expose evil is to revel in it’s ineptness. Let it sit there, I say, and see what the people do.
Nothing to fear here. BFD.
Actually, the Satanists do have “commandments” and scriptures of their own, though I should point out that Anton Szandor LaVey (whose daughter claims to have struck him down magically with a death curse) no more speaks for all Satanists than Pope Francis speaks for all Christians. I think we should definitely encourage Satanists to put what they really believe on display for everyone to see. Try these on for size:
1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!
7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his divine spiritual and intellectual development, has become the most vicious animal of all!
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

This all dovetails pretty effectively with what leftists practice and preach, wouldn’t you agree? I think we should indeed allow, even encourage the Satanists to put their religious monuments up next to ours, and watch the bigoted atheists in the Anti-Christian Litigation Union go insane at having their bluff called. Food sacrificed to worthless idols never hurt anybody, and neither will monuments to that worthless loser Satan and his greedy, rapacious, murderous megalomaniacal followers.
The article has one small flaw. It is an INVERTED pentagram, that the recognized LeVeyan Satanists employ.
I interject this minutiae, just to keep the record straight, since the Pagan/Wiccans sued the V.A., in April 2007, for the right for inclusion of their symbol, an UPRIGHT pentagram, to go on deceased Pagan/Wiccan veterans’ headstones.
(Upright, as in the single point of a natural drawn 5-pointed star on the top, as opposed to the LeVeyan star with the single point down, with the circle surrounding/enclosing it.)
As to the Satanists’ statue enduring the holiday season, remember, that the Winter Solstice, that Pagans/Wiccans/Satanists point towards is Dec. 21st. Let’s see if it gets there.
I do hold to the odd idea that The First Amendment is for all Americans, or it is for none. Everybody has the right “to be wrong in the other guy’s eyes”, (except mooslims because of their peculiar I kill you if you don’t believe thing). I secured my beliefs with 3 years in SouthEast Asia, and survived a mooslim bombing.
Will not last long. Hopefully, patriots will destroy it the first night after it’s put up.
