mandate we visit water parks and stuff whether we can afford it or not? Those outside venues might be more like a bobsled run in these parts, if they were not shut down and winterized.

They are closer now to their socialist agenda than ever...
Does anyone think they are going to allow a mere election to get in their way now?
WHEN THEY CONTROL MOST GOVERNMENT OFFICES with Dem career bureaucrats?

If every elected official in Washingon resigned and every federal employee were fired, I would be deliriously happy. Make me happy Feds.

The Federal Govt has already repeatedly changed and distorted for political reasons how we measure inflation, unemployment, economic growth, national debt, accrued govt liabilities, etc. (see www.shadowstats.com ), but those changes are not enough to officially and sufficiently cover up and paper over our continuing national economic slide.
That slide will, for the typical person, only get worse in the future. Therefore, they need to change the subject by coming up with an ostensibly "valid" different way to show that things are "getting better" when it is clear to the masses that things are NOT getting better, despite the official, distorted version of reality. Sigh !
