When it gets right down to it, does it really matter if it’s legal or illegal?
The American Revolution was illegal. It was also necessary at the time.
“The law is what is forcefully presented and plausibly maintained.” Aaron Burr
Of course he was tried for treason, but acquitted because they couldn’t find anyone who would cut-off his ‘privy parts.’
Being borned and raised in God’s country (Oklahoma) not too far east of Amarillo, I have known many Texans who overcame their disabilities and went on to lead productive, happy lives.
Best of luck to all of you, but this talk about taking your ball and going home, hmmm.
You know what Colonel Travis said when he saw a whole passel of Mexicans running toward the Alamo?
“Did someone order concrete work?”
There’s a reason why gun control is being pushed as hard as it is. It really doesn’t matter whether it’s legal or illegal for Texas (or any other state) to secede from the nation, the fact is that the Federal gov. out weapons the people...which IS unconstitutional in my opinion since we’re supposed to have the right to protect ourselves from tyranny.
It would be interesting to see Texas try, and succede. It could be encouraging to others and for that reason alone it can’t and won’t be tolerated. Waco won’t hold a candle to what would become the entire state should she even try.
