Do kids even read Archie anymore? I loved them growing up.

Certainly not in the number they used to, but that's true of all comics.

When my daughter was younger I picked her up one of the digests, it was, like, $8. I was, like, seriously???WTH? And that was before Soteros inflationary regime. Now they are probably twice that

The current price of an Archie Double Digest is $3.99. Perhaps you bought her one of the larger trade paperback collections.

and filled with harmful propaganda. No thanks. I'd stick with, I dunno, Japanese anime or something.

While there's plenty of good manga out there ("anime" is Japanese animation) and much of it is suitable for children, be careful...there's a lot of manga that's only appropriate for older readers.
