The reality of the staggering levels of black crime must strike a note of puzzlement in white libs. It wasn't supposed to develop like this after the passage of the '64 civil rights bill. They were assured by other white libs that the passage of the bill and elimination of all discriminatory practices would allow blacks to progress to the level of white Americans. Transfer payments in the trillions would ensure the progress.
Instead, while some blacks have gone forward, many millions more, the black underclass has stagnated and refuses to adapt to the rest of the country. There are a number of reasons why it hasn't, but certainly the encouragement of single black mothers exacerbated the problems.
