I’m not talking individual cases. Do you know how much money has been wasted on the dependent class in the last fifty years? It’s in the trillions. Johnson’s War On Poverty was designed to lift people out of poverty and start them on the road to a better life. The condition of most of those people is probably worse than before the start of the War On Poverty. The conclusion: handing out money and goodies to people with the aim of lifting them out of poverty doesn’t work. I doubt most of those people want to get off the dole. They like being handed other people’s money.
