U.S. insurers fear that a surge in enrollments on the revamped government-run healthcare website could create more problems for insurance companies already struggling with error-filled applications for coverage three weeks before a sign-up deadline.
In what could become the next major headache for President Obama's signature domestic policy, a group representing leading U.S. insurers said on Tuesday that technology fixes that will enable millions of people to sign on to HealthCare.gov have not fully addressed faulty data that the site has been sending these companies about their new enrollees.

Maybe it would help if we all waited till the last day
to sign up?
I plan to wait a while.
So thousands of the nation’s insurance-company employees will be spending the Christmas holidays working day and night to mail out both accurate and inaccurate insurance-premium bills.
While at the same time, millions of Americans will be spending the Christmas holidays worrying if their ObamaCare applications went through correctly, and, if they actually do manage to receive premium bills, worrying how they’ll be able to pay their high prices.
I was just talking to somebody who told me he was going to save $250 a month with Obamacare. He sounded like he really appreciated the deal.
There will be some winners, but he had better verify his information and be absolutely sure of the specifics and enrolment before he spreads the praise.
That’s refreshing. A welfare recipient grateful for a handout.
I was just talking to somebody who told me he was going to save $250 a month with Obamacare.”
Would suspect that his premium may be $250 a month less but how much is his deductible, co-pay and out-of-pocket increasing? Is his network the same? May be less expensive to buy but what about when he has to use it? Increase of $3,000 to $5,000 per year in deductible is a tall mountain to climb.
IMHO, this is all good! Obama proclaims that healtcare.gov is functional. Let all the chumps sign up, corrupting the flawed database built into healthcare.gov, their personal data stolen, force them to sign up again and again, let them see the sticker shock when signing up, let them think they are insured but really aren't, etc.
Merry Christmas Obama. Pretty soon, you're gonna be viewed worse than the Grinch.
It’s designed to reward supporters and punish enemies.
I suspect many of the supporters will be quite pleased in the final analysis.
Reuters going rogue.
DIMs hate you and your Freedom. DIMs think you are ignorant trash.
“I was just talking to somebody who told me he was going to save $250 a month with Obamacare. He sounded like he really appreciated the deal.”
Well, there are winners and losers. Winners, like all of the people on the new expanded Medicaid. Losers, like the taxpayers. You know, I would appreciate it too if someone gave me free money and services. But that’s just me.
Was this guy living in an appliance box?
It's a losing game against the house. When he needs actual healthcare and it runs into the tens of thousands (obamacare hyperinflation) for what should be an inexpensive fix, he'll be rationed or worse. Obamacare is a DoS attack on the American People. Healthcare will be as accessible, useful, private, and secure and as the website.
