Reminds me of when I was putting-in a wildflower meadows at the Family Farm. The firm who did some of my initial utilities excavating and road prep, had a neighboring town's old fire truck pumper (3,000 gals), which we'd fill from one of the spring-fed ponds, and go out and hose-down down the 2ac field 2-3x/day with wildflower seed and salt-marsh hay covering, to get the germination done quickly.
It took 3 of us to hold and control that hose when we cranked it up to 2,500-3,000 psi, or it'd throw one guy around like a rag doll. We had to spray from the road, so as not to drive over the seeded area, so we cranked-up the pressure dials and emptied the tank in under 10mins. It was an adventure, and we were exhausted from fighting the pressure. I was glad to see the field finally finished and blooming.
The county was so impressed with the field, they hired us to do wildflower fields in 6 parks and along the municipal buildings.

LOL; it was a comedy the first few dozen times. We finally got the hang of it with no serious injuries except some bruised egos and sore muscles.

We were using a late-50s pumper truck, with 5” diameter hard rubber hoses, in 20ft sections, with a short brass nozzle. They were a bear to hang on to.
