The poll, conducted by Harper Polling over the weekend, shows Christie with 17 percent support, just slightly ahead of Texas Sen. Ted Cruzs 16 percent....

I’ll not vote and laugh when Rove goes ballistic because a lot of us refused to do his bidding.
Christie is in no way, shape or form a conservative.
I noticed that recently. Only W 2004 won Iowa and Steve King helped him. Gore and Dukakis won Iowa.

Cruz being essentially tied at this point is very bad news for Christie. Christie is a liberal whose popularity will never be greater than it is now coming off his big reelection win earlier this month. Cruz is the best candidate and is going to eat everyone’s lunch during the debates. Just watch.
As would Dolche, our pet Yorkie (yes, that's how my wife spells it). The phrase "damning with faint praise" comes to mind.

I could relectantly vote for Rubio. Not the other two, though.

I’m definitely glad that Cruz is still up there in 2nd and was even surprised he does better against Hillary than most of the other Republicans. We know how fast these things can turn, just look how Romney’s poll numbers went above Obama’s after the first debate. It’s silly to worry that we can’t beat Hillary and worry about the polls against Hillary before we select our candidate.
Same here, no voting unless it is someone I could back ideologically. Christie is NOT him (her). Neither is JEB or Mario...
IMHO, it’s Cruz, Lee, or someone like them. Most likely will register Independent soon if Republicans do not grow 1) spines 2) Cajones.
I thought it interesting that the anointed choice of the E-GOP finished one point ahead of a mouth-breathing, backward, nobody pariah.
Come on in, Sarah, the water's fine! (And we'll need a vote-getting backup candidate who's a full-fledged citizen the 'RatMedia can't take down on the same grounds they denied existed w/r/t the infamous Soetoro.)
IA is a one-dimensional state with the slogan “Ethanol subsidy”.
Nothing could help Christie or Jebbie more than Cruz, Paul, and Palin dividing the opposition vote.
Well, that's certainly how we got played in 2012, with people like Ed Rollins whispering in prominent, not-ready-for-prime-time Tea Partiers' ears, inveigling them to jump into the shallow end of the pool.
Ed Rollins ..... we owe him. </note to self>
The counter is for Cruz, Paul, Palin, and Lee to sit down now and form a team -- a tag-team. As in, Triple-H and Andre the Giant and The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin. And yes, we rule folding chairs in for our side, too.
No prisoners this time. Total control of the party.
