WHY DID “UNNAMED SOURCE” FALSELY ACCUSE SENATE LEADER OF ATTACK ON TEA PARTY, CRUZ AND LEE?
Tea Party News Network ^ | 11.22.13 | Todd Cefaratti, Editor of TPNN

As vulnerable Democrats, realizing the inevitable, abandon the Obamacare ship to avoid being pulled under with it, Democrats are hoping that the Republican Party will similarly implode. President Obama, in conjunction with leading Democrats, has worked tirelessly to drive a wedge in the Republican Party by trying to pit moderate Republicans against conservatives.

While the Republican Party can certainly benefit from stronger adherence to principles of limited government, the call for a split of the Republican Party (and their power) is most prominent amongst Democrats who recognize that a divided party is a weaker opponent.

Recently, Breitbart News reported that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had railed against Tea Party and conservative legislators in a conference call to donors. Breitbart reported that, according to an anonymous source, Sen. McConnell had ranted against the Tea Party and named Tea Party Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee by name.

The anonymous source also claimed that the principled Senate conservatives were “schoolyard bullies” that needed a “punch in the nose.”

What a “win” for Democrats!… That is, if it were true.

It seems that the anonymous source had an agenda of his own or otherwise misunderstood the Senator’s comments as The Washington Examiner obtained a recording of the entire conversation, provided by American Crossroads PAC. In the 27-minute long recording, McConnell spoke to donors and their advisers and offered a brief question-and-answer segment.

During this call, Senator McConnell addressed the Senate Conservative Fund (SCF), a PAC that has been routinely attacking McConnell as he handles crises in the Senate that maintains a Democrat majority.

The SCF have been relentless in their criticisms and Senator McConnell has appeared frustrated as he has had to weather the assaults from Democrats and those in his own party who seem displeased with the Republican leadership...

That was last week. False flag?

Again, I make a sincere request of you: Would you please explain your use of the term "false flag" in relation to last week's TPNN article that I first saw this morning and could not find previously posted on FR? Thank you.

I understand what a black flag is and understand how the term is generally used as false flag here on FR. But my head is thick this morning, I suppose, and I do not understand who you suspect was responsible for this potential false flag you suggest. If you mean the usual suspects (Dems, press, etc.) then I guess I agree with you.

This is apologetic to McConnell. It is damage control. It is BS.

McConnell’s performance on the defunding cloture is all anyone needs to know that he is controlled by the mother’s milk of politics; money.

Yes, money is important in politics. But the cloture decision and so many others that ignored principle have set the example to appease, to compromise, to sacrifice American values on orders of a few wealthy progressives.

Republicans were winning before McConnell moved for cloture because of conservatives and they are up in the polls now because of conservatives.

The Tea Party won the House in 2010 and they will win the Senate in 2014. McConnell, Rove and Rove’s PAC American Crossroads has done nothing but create trouble for the winners. Now they find themselves in trouble especially McConnell who is facing Bevins who just days ago won an important straw poll of 80% in an important county of Kentucky!

McConnell is terrified and will do anything to cut hard to the right in an attempt to bring Kentucky voters back into his fold.

This is what RINOs do! They run hard to the right when necessary in elections and they operate on the left once comfortably in office.

I hear you, but why shoot ourselves in the foot. Let’s knock off putting up these candidates like Christine O’Donnell when we had a sure seat. We need to win the Senate and the House...then purge all you want.

Is the Tea Party News Network a shill, a front for the Republican Party?

I was not attributing the quote to you. I see that I didn’t respond to post number one but a latter post by you. But no, I didn’t think I was responding to a comment by you. I apologize for the confusion.

No, it has been well documented that McConnell has unslipped his dogs of war against the TEA Party.

When folks dig into my posting history, it would appear I said something I didn’t, unless the offending poster is called to task (and it shows in my posting history). Often I find posters doing what you did and it irks me.

I’m over it now. Apology warmly accepted. Carry on.

We need to be united and first win back the Senate friends THEN you can purge whomever you want.

No can do when the GOP-E is attacking the Conservative base.

O'Donnell could have won but Rove, Castle, the RNC, and company refused to support her.

It really doesn’t matter. McConhell’s threats against the SCF and anyone who works with them are well documented. And there wouldn’t have to be an SCF if McConnell and the rest of the GOP-e hadn’t abandoned TEA Party candidates who beat their pals in primaries.

TR, emotionally I agree with you and feel the same way. Intellectually and spiritually, I've got to go with nikos' attitude and thought process.

This article is an eye-opener. It totally fits with the left’s tactics to beat us. I still say they’ve been spoofing us even on FR, claiming to be conservatives while tearing down our candidates.

I will never again believe anything of this nature again until absolutely proven to be true. Yes, Mitch still needs to go but it has to be because of who he is, not because of some caricature the left has painted.
