Over and over, I see "the professionals" wreck campaigns for their own benefit. The classic was when Bill Simon ran for governor and Parsky and crew stipulated Wilson Jones. The consultants tend to see everything through media and ad buys, in part, because they make their money on a percentage. It is this fee structure that has turned politicians into corporate whores, paying our enemies (the MSM) to get our message out and giving them advanced notice of every move.
I'm damned tired of it.

Don't get me wrong, you are 100% correct in your assessment of "the professionals".
"The Professionals" were the sole reason Cucinelli lost as well. Hiring the scum of the earth Romney people to run his campaign, as I have heard, was fatal.
