In fact in the case with the St. Louis man, he was killed as was mentioned in my piece the suspect in that case was sentenced to life prison. So these kids need to know that this is anything, but a game.
KATE BOLDUAN, CNN ANCHOR: And they should be facing very serious consequences when something like this happens. Let's talk more about this. Let's bring in former New York City Detective Harry Houck here to help us understand that. What is your take on this? Is this a growing trend? Is this an urban myth or maybe better stated as growing trend or group of isolated incidents?
HARRY HOUCK, FORMER NYPD DETECTIVE: Well, you know, because we all know about it, what's going on, the whole country knows about the knockout game pretty much. All right, so this is definitely a trend. You know, this is no urban myths. Urban myths really don't exist. These attacks exist in everyone's minds, especially those victims.

With due respects to the veteran detective, anyone who lives in urban America—Chicago in my case—knows this. As we are disarmed here, the only way to protect ourselves is by avoiding areas where young urban blacks are likely to be. I would as soon go to Iraq as to the south or west sides of Chicago. And yes, they do sometimes infiltrate those parts of the city where the law-abiding, productive, decent, taxpaying citizens live and/or work. But they are highly visible in such areas, watched, and yes, horror of horrors, “profiled.” Why would they not be?
Bring back lynching.. that would stop it.
That was mentioned on the FIVE tonight by Gutfeld and he said the left would get in a real uproar for hurting the animals.. Beckel goes off on few polar bears, global warming.. etc.

The CNN panel were surprisingly objective. Looks like it’s finally dawned on the media that not reporting this trend could actually impact their own lives. Never fails to wake people up.
How exactly is this game any different than what the IRS and the communists in DC do to my paycheck every week?

We know this because if there were cases of whites doing this to blacks, they would merit national attention talking about the "real" race problem in this country, which would be a man bites dog problem.

It was fascinating to do some web searches. I did one on violence in Virginia Beach, and the paper The Virginian-Pilot which is notoriously liberal, was actively scrubbing the comment section of their story, not to mention the actual content. It would have been hilarious if it had not been so serious.
In the same one one can "see" a black hole by the absence of light, reading the scrubbed comments left no doubt about the race of the violent perpetrators.
As the list of comments got longer and longer, the linguistic gyrations people were going through to make their point without actually saying the word "Black" (which would have got their comment pulled) became so extreme that it was impossible to ignore the silliness of the situation.
In a different but related case, two reporters from the same Virginian-Pilot were assaulted by a large crowd of black youths: Two White Reporters Assaulted by Black Mob in Norfolk, VA
There was no story in the paper about it, and only an opinion column several weeks later. The opinion piece in the Virginian-Pilot was apparently written by a subordinate of one of the people attacked. This is an interesting excerpt from the blog discussing the situation (and the opinion piece): "...This is a remarkable document. Two white liberal reporters are wilded by a huge black mob. Their paper doesn’t report it until two weeks later, and then only in a column, not a news article. Their colleague (and presumed superior) reluctantly comes out with the fact that it was blacks who did it, and indicates that this bothers her. She suggests, however weakly, that there is something wrong with the blacks who did this (“We cannot allow such callousness to continue unremarked”), and that the event is not just an isolated incident but part of a larger phenomenon that must be identified (“How can we change it if we don’t know about it?”). This is the first time I remember seeing a liberal or mainstream publication say this. Yes, some liberal media have from time to time described incidents of black-on-white violence as such, but none that I have seen have ever suggested that the media’s cover-up is itself a problem and must end..."
They are so blinded by their own political correctness they could be victims and still want to conceal it.

I have been attacked and beaten by a group of black men on, of all places, a US Navy base in Florida back in the Seventies. It was clearly racial, and I was simply a white guy with glasses walking alone between some barracks. It never became something that poisoned me, and one of the main reasons is because the Petty Officer who was my supervisor offered to get a bunch of guys together and hunt them down.
He was black.
As I said before, to say all black men do this type of thing would be racist. But it is NOT racist to observe that the vast majority of these types of assaults are perpetrated by young black men against whites.

Don’t kid yourself; they can feign objectivity because Obama has safely been re-elected, and they can now attempt to win back the credibility (and viewers) they abandoned to make it so.

His anniversary is about 3 weeks away. One thing that has been conveniently forgotten was why he was armed - I believe he had been robbed, the mugger was apprehended, and a few weeks later he saw the guy loose on the street again.

That’s right; on the flip side you have this push to keep whites spending money in these urban toilets after the whistle blows at 5 pm, and I don’t see that happening anymore. The veteran detective seems to know everyone knows about this, and I suspect it is only being reported because once it is on You Tube the media can’t ignore it anymore.
I’m just saying that, at least for this one segment, they did manage to refrain from politically correct tapdancing. But don’t get me wrong—I don’t for one minute think they are now going to start being journalists. It would take ten years of consistent objective non-biased reporting before I would ever again trust the media.
