Gone (temporarily, I hope!) but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Quinn and Rose are off the air, but they WILL be back! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have.

slurping now..... staying home sick today. I will try to find some alternatives online for my noon-1500 lead-in to Glenn. Maybe try Buck? I don’t know yet. I also have to deal with I-Heart blocking international streaming on some stations and not others. It doesn’t make sense how they pick ‘em.

Yesterday I fell asleep as I was posting to the thread! REALLY beat....not sure why. Same thing when I went to work at 11PM. Almost didn't go.
Mrs p6 and I have been off and on ill the past couple of weeks but this was an overall weak feeling. She thinks it was because I was by myself last night and ate ...5 hot dogs and a whole can of beans, LOL!
Can you get WMAL in DC or WRKO in Boston? The early shows there aren’t too bad, I don’t remember the names of the guys in DC (Show is called “Mornings on the Mall”), but the morning show in Boston is hosted by Jeff Kuhner. It was suggesed by another freeper and he’s pretty good. My favorite still remains Michael Berry in Houston TX though. He is VERY politically UN-correct!
WPGB is really getting hammered! Not that they care though. If they are going to a new format it’s clean house time and they won’t give a rat’s patootie what old listeners say.
I’ve been through several format changes and no matter what the station is only interested in new listeners.
Even so they are getting an ear full....GOOD!

These guys on WMAL are annoying Can’t get Boston on my tablet, and Michael Berry isn’t on the air until after I leave for work. I don’t care for the local station (not interested in the farm reports!)
Last two days, there have been many many jets high up. By the time we left for work yesterday, the condensation trails had covered half the sky. They are going multiple directions, criss-crossing across the sky. Weird.

One kinda good thing. Duck Dynasty’s Christmas album is top of the charts for the third straight week!

So it’s a Friday, before a shortened Holiday week (how did Turkey Day get here so quickly?!?) anyone wanna BET on what drops today around 3:30ish? Maybe some more info on LOOSING your Doctor/Hospital?!? Or maybe some more on “those weren’t cancellation notices, they are really renewals pointing you to more expensive less comprehensive coverage” letters (the ObamaRebrand).
And don’t get me started on the nuclear option!!!

I think WPGB got a lot more than they bargained for. I hate to say this, but I hope they go down quickly and leave room for a real conservative talker to step up in their place.

Did anyone else see one poster...it might have been on voy forums...floated the idea that the whole thing is a hoax? Not likely though because the affiliates didn’t know.
Going to work last night out of habit I turned on WPGB. Andy Deen was on. He is as bad if not worse than bloomdaffy.
I’m still in a state of shock that the station would do this.
I find it very credible that Nathan Daschle was indeed behind this, and that there are more changes to come.
I went to RWI’s link...and left a comment (it’s awaiting moderation).
We have been looking for another (new to us) pre-owned Jeep (our 9yr old Focus being passed on to the teens & I’ve been pleased w/my used Patriot)....anyways, the nice (though aggressive) salesman from local Jeep dealership (Jim Shorkey) will be calling us back (I’m sure!) will tell him KINDLY that I don’t feel “good” about buying from any dealer who advertises on WPGB.
Hopefully my comment will make it up the food chain there (Shorkey advertises ALOT—his commercials are the “what a great day” ones).
I understand that some advertisers are just looking out for their own businesses, and will advertise wherever they think potential customers are listening. Some advertisers have contracts with a station for a particular length of time, and have to let their slotted commercials run regardless; I get that.
I also think Q&R had a loyal base of advertisers who will follow them to wherever they land next.
I think the pattern of CC axing smaller/local Conservative hosts (Limbaugh is still too big to deal with at this point), combined with the sudden 180 they did on canceling Randi Rhodes, AND the hiring of Tom Daschle’s kid, tells you what is going on.
I get WRKO 680 on my iPad through an app called TuneIn Radio. I also had trouble with it one day, and found a WRKO 680 AM app by doing a search.
I feel bad for all of you going through such withdrawals. I am so glad that Kuhner is on at the exact same time. I can also pick up his entire show on YouTube by going to The Kuhner Report on YouTube.
