Not only is healthcare.gov at risk, it may already have been compromised, a security expert testified before the Senate.
Hackers are definitely after it, said David Kennedy, CEO of information security firm TrustedSEC before a House Science, Space, and Technology committee hearing on security concerns surrounding the problematic Healthcare.gov website.
And if I had to guess, based on what I can see I would say the website is either hacked already or will be soon.
One key problem facing Healthcare.gov is that security wasnt built into the site from the very beginning, he said -- an opinion shared by both Kennedy and Fred Chang, the distinguished chair in cyber security at Southern Methodist University.
Theres not a lot of security built into the site, at least thats what we can see from a 10,000 foot view, Kennedy told the committee.

No security on the Obamacare website. No security in Benghazi. The Obama regime sure has that pesky consistency thingie down to a science.
I told you all so. DON’T GO TO THE OBAMACARE WEBSITE, Phone or Office. THEY ARE ID THIEVES DREAM SITES.
If the expected health care increases don’t scare people about ACA, loss of their private information should Identity theft will make the health care cost increases seem like a mere pittance.
Yup, as secure as our boarders. Then again, did anyone truly expect it to be anything but insecure?
“Americans should not use the site at present.”
All four of the security witnesses agreed.
I guess that makes the (soon to be missed anyway) 30 Nov deadline somewhat moot. HA!
That’s some really bad project management. Website security is pretty important. Really makes you wonder if it was deliberate.
Gosh, y'THINK?
Programmers will have an OMG moment.
If ordinary folks can’t even open the first page, how can hackers do it ?
Gee, ya think?
They may as well have put a flashing red banner on it.
“This Website is Designed and Run by Incompetents.
Welcome, Ukrainian Hackers!”
Our cybersecurity guys have identified plenty of holes and backdoors in that mess of a website. I’ve seen a few of them demonstrated. Their advice which I already knew is stay the hell away from it or your identity will be cloned many times over.
Not only did they forget the Security, they forgot the Intelligence, Knowledge, Constitutionality and likely a bunch of other things.
They should take the site down until they can fix that.
If you were a business or provider with such a site, you'd be required to notify everyone that used your site that their information may have been compromised.

Here is the analysis by one of the 4 witnesses, Dave Kennedy. It’s a 19 page document. He will be on Greta tonight at 7pm.

Actually, it appears to me that the only people who need to go to any gov’t. healthcare website are those who are looking for the gov’t. to pick up part or all of their healthcare tab. I just had to find “an acceptable” Medigap policy to replace my eight year old “crappy” Medicare Advantage plan and I did it through a broker. Now, at 73 I am “comforted” that I can have free prenatal care, an abortion, drug abuse counseling, and a whole host of “essential” healthcare elements.
All the paperwork was handled via Fax. So, it would seem that the people who voted for Obama are the likely “users” of the ACA website. Personally, I hope that they all have everything they have taken from them by hackers!
Also, to those of you who have also had your MA Policy cancelled, take “advantage” of your “loss” and go with a Medigap ( you could not make the change w/o having your current policy cancelled). From what I am reading, MA is being looted by both the gov’t. and the insurance co’s., and they are cutting back on the list of Drs, that can take MA patients. At least with Medigap, if your policy is cancelled, you still have basic Medicare.
Like McAfee said from day one.
You have to figure the syrians...or north koreans...are ALL OVER hacking that site
Back in the day (~15 years ago) I provided tech support for a company of 300 Windows 3.1 —> Windows 95 users.
When those computers were locked with a password, you could crash the password program by holding down Enter. Once the password prompt crashed, you’d get right into the machine.
Even with that design flaw, those machines were more secure than this website.
