George Zimmerman has been arrested and was en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.
It's not clear what happened or what crime he's accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.
He said more information would be available shortly.
WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.
The Sheriff's Office, in a short news release, reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka.

With all he's been through, I'd be half bonkers, too. It may be he's on a guilt trip and is intentionally acting out. Of course, it may be his womenfolk are out for the publicity. The guy needs therapy far, far away from FL. Leave the divorce to his lawyer and make a clean break.

And when Zimm didn’t immediately go down, Saint Trayvon felt his machismo was insulted so he went gangbusters on Zimmermans head trying his utmost to knock him out....Only he meant the 2nd amendment.
Some folks just won’t be happy until he’s dead. Payback you know. He’ll probably be killed in jail at some point.
I suspect that's what Patriot95 meant. Even though Zimmerman was acquitted there are still many that consider him guilty, and will take great pleasure in destroying him.
George, George, George. What can I say that has not been said? Apparently, his discomfort with being administratively gagged, confined to a tiny living space and hidden from the public is greater than his fear of those daily death threat tweets. George’s family still gets daily death threats on Twitter and Facebook. Twitter and Facebook will share the guilt by aiding and abetting violent ideation should one of these plans come true.
Red light syndrome
Undoubtably, George is being targeted by officials of every level of the government.
Zim was innocent of murdering Trayvon, but he could still be guilty of being stupid.
Either that or GZ isn’t particularly bright and doesn’t know the meaning of “maintaining a low profile”
He should move to Idaho and change his last name to Carpenter (Zimmerman in English).
Maybe he is guilty of domestic violence, but it definitely is possible for standard argument to become a police matter these days.

I’ve seen George’s brother on several news show clips. He (the brother) seems like a nice guy who’s tried standing up for George. Would like to think that the family is counseling - and supporting - George to leave Florida and to live under the radar. It may be that they are and George is not having any of that. Sad, regardless...after all this man has been through.
