WE had a couple Swiss tourists stay over at our place last summer. The one kid was part Arab and we talked about race, crime, the connection, and how different the related problems are in Switzerland; where they claimed they had similar minority populations. They seemed to believe it was the quality of life in Switzerland that prevented the racial violence we take for granted. I didn't agree and also don't want their taxation either. They also claimed there was accountability for the users in their Country; something we will never see here.

I live around Indians in rural Alaska. Many have alcohol related problems, 1/3 the kids don't make it to 25, and yet I have never seen the level of violence, shootings, just crime in general that exists in most urban ethnic communities.

We were in Switzerland this summer, and saw more minorities this trip than we did in 2005. Especially those of Middle Eastern background. But more so in Zurich & Interlaken not in the more rural areas like Lauterbrunnen Valley. We didn’t stop in Lucerne this trip but maybe there too. I’d definitely opt for living in the “valley” IF I ever moved there.

And seems almost every African country has ongoing brutal civil wars. I can’t think of a black nation that is prosperous and generally safe.
