So a bill that effectively repeals Obamacare for a year, one that has all the Progressives screaming bloody murder, well it is bad because... I don’t have a profile or something?

No, it's bad because it gives the Dems an out and a chance to pin this on the Republicans. If the delay was so wonderful, why didn't the Dims take it during the shutdown?

Effectivly Obamacare, instead saying any policy offered before Oct1 can be offered to anyone(!) for 2014

Do you run an insurance company, or a business?
There will be significant time and money sunk trying to renegotiate the policies with the consumers, and then you're talking weeks getting it approved through the state commissioners.
It's better for the insurance companies to keep the cancelled, since they DID abide by "the law" to make them compliant.

All pre-existing condition people will go to exchanges

No, they would probably go to Medicaid, and if they don't qualify, then they're screwed.

all healthy people woild be able to buy cheap plans from ins cos (which they would sale since its better then having no signups from the exchange)

Those new policies would still have to be ACA-compliant. So you're right back to square one.

Then in Aug-Oct 2014, all those plans are again cancelled, and Dems are again in panic mode

Then in Aug-Oct 2014, Obama will order the insurance companies not to mail cancellation letters until mid-late November 2014.

Meanwhile, 2015 costs on exchange skyrocket because no one signed up gor the exchange

Still forgetting about the employer plans that will be cancelled as well.

“If the delay was so wonderful, why didn’t the Dims take it during the shutdown?”

Huh? Delay ISNT wonderful - that is why Progressives are crying bloody murder over the Upton Bill now

“It’s better for the insurance companies to keep the cancelled, since they DID abide by “the law” to make them compliant.”

Yes, it is better for InsCos to just allow Obamacare to take full effect, like you are apparently arguing.

But what isnt hurtful for InsCos is the Upton Bill - it would force them to re-up their cheap plans with the healthy on the Individual market (as well as others who want to join in) but the Exchange is stupidly backed by a bailout clause in Obamacare, so they wont be hurt there. The only outcome will be the Death Spiral on the Exchange, while the Individual Market would work fine

“No, they would probably go to Medicaid, and if they don’t qualify, then they’re screwed.”

Huh? The Pre-Exsisting people that Obama railed were uninsured would still be able to go onto the Exchange (unless Obama closed it seeing the impending Death Spiral caused by Upton’s Bill) or yes, if they somehow are covered by the medicaid expansion in 50% of the states, they would do that.

“Still forgetting about the employer plans that will be cancelled as well.”

Again, huh? They would be able to purchase Individual Market plans just like the rest, or are you just ignoring the part where the Upton Bill allows ANYONE to buy catastrophic plans for 2014 (and when it is almost certainly reupped for 2015-beyond, then anyone dropped from their plans later would similarly continue to be able to stay away from the Exchange with affordable options through a Individual market)
