State Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler has rejected President Obamas proposal to allow insurance companies to extend health insurance policies for people who have received notices that their policies will be cancelled at the end of the year.
Within two hours of President Obamas news conference announcing the proposed administrative fix for Americans upset by their policy cancellations, Kreidler issued a statement rejecting the proposal.
I understand that many people are upset by the notices they have recently received from their health plans and they may not need the new benefits [in the Affordable Care Act] today, he said. But I have serious concerns about how President Obamas proposal would be implemented and more significantly, its potential impact on the overall stability of our health insurance market.
I do not believe his proposal is a good deal for the state of Washington, Kreidlers statement continued. We will not be allowing insurance companies to extend their policies.(continued)

they need crisis in order to bring things about they could never normally get done, and they need a ton f people screaming for them to do somethig.
they will pitch single payer as simpler because govt will be the only payer. so the system will be a lot simpler, we will be told.
if there are any fixes now, it’s to get the govt part of it working, not the private insurers parts.
I agree. This is now a really big problem. When this administration instructs private business to ignore the law then we potentially have a constitutional crisis. The company is exposed to lawsuits if they comply, they are also now exposed to lawsuits if they don’t. Lose - Lose for the administration and the Democrats.
They need crisis, yes, but not from something that they proposed. The crisis hypothesis only works if the crisis is perceived as the result of the opponent’s fault; for example, the 2008 crisis was (perceived ) as caused by Wall Street greeds made possible by Republican policies. So, it made sense when the Dhims then came with an alternative policy to deal with the crisis. It doesn’t work when the crisis is caused by their own policy.
Dr. Obama has prescribed aspirin for a skull fracture.
Don’t give 0 a pass. They knew exacly wth would happen it’s just that they didnt plan on the after effects, results and backlash.
That's part of his plan - get them to commit illegal acts while following his illegal proclamation and destroy them with law suits after the 2014 elections - speeds up the single=payer end game.
Insurance companies need to push back on that. But it’s a misdirection to shift blame to them and take the focus off Obama
