One species evolving into another isn’t micro-evolution. Speciation, the creation of new species, is anything but micro-evolution.
Wrong term, sorry
I would argue that speciation is ONLY micro-evolution, especially since "Species hypothesized to have the same ancestors are placed in one genus, based on similarities." (Wikipedia). Macro-evolution is the "Origin of Genus". Darwin's finches are easily explained by just such micro-evolution, and the parent finches who had beaks that could get to certain tyoe food had babies that maintained that characteristic. After a few generations, they look different from their cross islnad brethren. Get them to breed, though, and they will look like something in between the two.
No I’d say micro-evolution is correct. Speciation is just an evolutionary made-up word. Micro-evolution is changes within a kind [species exist below ‘kind’ from the Biblical perspective].
Evos try to use speciation to make a flimsy claim for macro-evolution whereby 2 different populations of the same species can no longer mate due to genetic drift.
