With the way our culture’s going, it seems like it would be by the end of the week.
Realistically though, the pagan psycholeft has got so more brainwashing to do. I’m guessing about one or two generations after all the homosexualization/”every sexual desire or thought must be acted upon no matter how vile!” type indoctrination has gone thru the public school system.
“But adult males who molest little boys aren’t gay!”
That statement makes absolutely no sense to me but somehow it gets parroted all the time.
What a hideous tragedy.
God did not get knocked off the throne. However cases like this challenge our resolve to remember that God remains love no matter how much He chastises. We too often give curses the chief recognition in our world view and grope for what looks to us to be the occasional blessing among them, forgetting that it is the blessings that deserve the chief recognition and it is curses that worm their way among them. Acceptance of curses are what Satan cheers for. God is cheering for the blessings to be accepted.
This is not just esoteric theology. It’s intensely practical. It points to the way to work in the long run to straighten out the whole mess. And the capstone of the plan for this is a gospel that is more potent than the gospel preached in most polite churches. It is a gospel that tells about inviting the Holy Spirit to grasp and sanctify the sin-defiled human body, imbuing it with new innocence from Christ. Most molesters were molested and that’s how they learned about losing respect for the body. THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN FIX THIS! If He is called to do so.
And yes of course... perish the thought that it could be otherwise... of course repentance has a key place here. But repentance on the spiritual level is the grasping of the helping hand that God proffers to the sinner to get his or her spiritual life straightened out, and then working in accordance with the power which that helping hand gives. We work, and yet it is God working, in a synchronized action.
I’m not delving into Calvinist or Arminian issues here. If those debates could be banished to eternal silence it would probably be to the best. I’m just describing what repentance is, and trying to split it into “self work” and “God work” is nonsensical. It’s accepting (by faith) a new divine strength which we then exercise. In both mind and body. And it is backed up by the sacrifice and resurrection power of Christ.
And I guess this might make me look “Catholic.” If so, I’m the most crazily evangelical “Catholic” on this board. A “Catholic” with symbolic communion and initiation of acceptance of salvation by faith. Sola fide in the purest sense applies to the initial acceptance. Then the works rooted in faith begin. People are going to do works no matter what spiritual state they are in. It’s just where the works get their power, from embracing the spirits of evil or embracing God, that is the question.
Who knows how this crazy buzzsaw will careen. However we don’t want to turn ourselves into some mad cheering section for Satan, singing perpetual doom and gloom.
God is looking into the picture too, saying “miss Me yet?” And at least at some point making Himself available to be grasped by at least some unbelievers. (I go out on a limb and preach an Arminian-compatible view of this stage, but theologically YMMV. Calvinists please try not to get too mad at me.)

Just got back from picking up my daughter from church youth group. My kids are involved in four various Christian youth groups. All of the groups are very serious and devoted and conservative. (They have their fun too). Three of them have hundreds of kids. (The fourth is a small church).
But to see what they talk about and do is amazing. (When I was in high school, church youth groups were mainly to meet girls!). I look at these kids and really do think that they will have a huge impact on the future. (The pendulum swings).
Really? This is what happens when the Country loses its Morality. Look at Penn State and that fiasco! Blaming a dead man when they all know who is guilty. Just a small part of this huge problem. No morality and that is what it is.
Almost a kind of reverse psychology here.
When the gospel is not normal, now the gospel is cool again.
Of course God set it up that way. It may be better to have kids come out of no-gospel backgrounds to hear the gospel, than to come out of gospel-lite backgrounds. Because it really is news.
And then there are the TOUGH cases. Like me!
Like I was telling a friend earlier today. At one point in my life I would have more easily embraced a report that the planet Mars was embedded in my back yard, than that Jesus Christ really was Savior of the world. Of course that was my pride speaking. I had a huge pride. And knew virtually no real love.
But the flip side of that is that now I have a tough faith. It took a lot of demonstrating for God to show me it was as real as the sun in the sky. But now I know it’s real.
I can dig that idea.
Might as well.
Same for those who GIVE THE ORDERS when the SHTF. Find them now, so they can be dealt with appropriately.
"Minor attracted persons"? Wow, there's a PC term for everything.
Beyond gross.
Wait until you hear that “the child has a right to love an adult too.”
Talk about grooming
