about 50,000 people have signed up for coverage in the 36 states that have federally designed insurance markets or about 10 percent of the overall goal for the first month. That figure closely matches the 40,000 to 50,000 enrollments reported by The Wall Street Journal on Monday afternoon. They just need to run those numbers past the top bean-counters at the BLS...the same folks that give us unemployment numbers. They'll magically improve.

The regime is counting as ‘signed-up’ what’s in the shopping cart as well as paid for. The e-commerce industry metric for shopping carts that end up as purchases is 33%.
