Bill Clinton is now the biggest Democratic name to call on President Obama to keep his promise that people could keep their insurance plans under his health law.
“I personally believe, even if it means a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got,” Clinton said. The former president said young people on the individual market were the main group to be affected by the misleading promise, a story of someone he recently met who had their plan canceled.
A number of Democratic and Republican members of Congress have introduced plans to extend the grandfather provisions in the Affordable Care Act so more Americans can in fact keep their plans.

Just what would be the implications for the future if this slick politician's advice were accepted?
Is Clinton claiming that the word--a series of promises, not under oath--of a mere imperfect and political human being who serves as President is a binding "commitment of the federal government"?

May be a slick maneuver for Democrats to avoid the consequences of the ACA power over-reach and the look "behind the curtain" it has provided, but is that really what Americans want to cede to their President?
It would become a 24/7 commercial for Hillary 2016, with no downside for her or for the public. It's her perfect win/win. It saves the RINO's and red state dems. The radical left will stay out of it.
Never underestimate the Dems and Obama to figure out a way to reverse what they want to reverse. Look for a possible increase of subsidies to alleviate the pain.

Yeah, and the film starts running 1/1/14! That’s when millions and millions of decent Americans come to the stark realization that they are completely out of any health insurance of any kind, and many of them, who need ongoing medical care for their survival, can’t get it without digging down in their own jeans for the money to pay for it. All this BS about “changing the law” so that these folks can continue on their “old policies” is nonsense. There is just no way for any fix to be in place by the first of the year even if FUBO would allow it, which he won’t. The impeachment should start right after the first of the year. Then, by the time the Senate finally turns over, the House will have had the necessary time to convict and the Senate part of the process can begin with the new leadership. that is hopefully missing Bitch!
I spoke with a diehard dem last night that claimed his benefits were up and premiums were lower. I kid you not.
It’s gonna take a bag of Obamas upside the head 50 times to get these morons into the truth.

I can get a healthcare policy that covers my every breath, thought, sperm, wink, and lack of thought, for $100 per month. But if it's got a $10,000 yearly deductible, what's the point?

Clinton's plan would have FORCED doctors to take Medicare/Medicaid patients.
His plan was chock-full of mandates just like Obamacare. People would have lost their insurance under him as well.
