Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Sunday defended the party's strategy in the Virginia gubernatorial race against attacks from conservative groups that it didn't do enough to help GOP candidate Ken Cuccinelli.
Tea Party groups said the GOP establishment kept its wallet closed to Cuccinelli, the conservative attorney general who lost to Democrat Terry McAuliffe on Tuesday. Democratic party organizations, those groups said, spent more heavily on McAuliffe than the GOP did on Cuccinelli.
But Priebus said the RNC invested heavily in Cuccinelli's "ground game," commenting that he was "proud" of the effort.
"The RNC outside the presidential election is never in the business of buying millions and millions of dollars of ads," Priebus said on CNN's "State of the Union."

Liar. That $3 million was spent on opening offices in minority areas, the rest was spent on the entire state Republican slate. No money for Cuccinelli when he needed it most. Now go back to your beltway cocktail circuit, Prebus.
Truth be told Rinse, the RNC helped elect a democrat.

If we’re into truth telling here, truth be told, that was their intent.
Wasn’t it?

Question: How many times can Preibus back the GOP up and DRIVE it into that Iceberg before there is real damage?..

Knock it off, Reince. The GOP/RNC did an intentionally crappy job.

How is the RNC’s treasury doing. Are many people sending them in donations?
I believe we can judge the effectiveness of the RNC by tracking where their money is coming from. It isn’t coming from individuals happy with Rancid.

If were into truth telling here, truth be told, that was their intent. It sure looks that way:
Enough "effort" (spending) to have a number which will impress the LIV, and putting it where and when it will allow the defeat of the TEA party candidate, just to prove how unviable they are (Now, go back and lay by your dish!).
It is a strategy to retain the status quo, and GOPe power, even to the point of handing some races to the Dems.

Proud to have guaranteed a Democrat win by not supporting a Republican?
Proud to not have taken advantage of an opportunity strike a timely blow against the evil ObamaCare legislation?
Where is there any difference between the RINO elites and the Demmunist Party elites?

Preibus also said the RNC would fund Michelle Bachmann’s campaign but didn’t.
No Conservative candidate should rely on GOPe support. Time for Conservative Republicans to break away from the RNC machine and Rove like advisors.
