Am I correct in saying that healthsherpa only shows the “gross” price, not the “net” after subsidies?
One story I read predicts 60% of applicants will get medicaid (free) or subsidies.
There is a feature to enter your income and get an estimate of net.
They are emotional thinkers.
They will remain low because they are worse than low information. They are the incurably ignorant. They will never get it.

Exactly, failing a major medical problem, with the new “improved” FUBOCare plans, you may well end up doing nothing but paying premiums and getting absolutely no benefits. With higher deductibles, and co-pays, and having to pay for “benefits” that are of no benefit to you, you become simply a cash cow for the insurance company and it’s formerly uninsurable customers.
Good but not enough pain yet.

I did a quick calc for a Bronze policy 26 yr old nonsmoker in Indiana making 20,000/yr:
$25.46 per month
Premium: $264.16
Subsidy: $238.70
making 30,000/yr:
$149.64 per month
Premium: $264.16
Subsidy: $114.52
making 40,000/yr:
$257.01
Premium: $264.16
Subsidy: $7.15
