And he wasted an opportunity to point out that it was the Democrats who shut down the government (actually a 17% slowdown) as they have done 18 times before in recent decades.

The debate intensified on Wednesday after Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, the deeply conservative Republican candidate for governor of Virginia, lost a close race in which Democrats highlighted his opposition to abortion in almost all circumstances,...54% of white woman in VA voted for Cuch.

Open primaries are why we have the McCains. We had all better put a stop to this or we will be over run.!

it is WAY past time to get OUT of this party. No, it's WAY past time to take it back!
Which of the other 53 "third parties" would you prefer? Or would you start a trivial 54th?

Sen. Hatch was just on Fox&Friends. He claimed Cuccinelli would have won in Virgian 'if a couple of Senators had not shut down the government.' The RNC stopped the funding of Cuch on Oct. 1 the first day of the shutdown.
Just as many people in Virginia blamed Obama for the shutdown.
What we have here is the GOP-e being exposed for sacrificing an elections and creating a false meme all to purge their base voters.

I just dont see how to reconcile this.
We just keep doing what we’re doing. We almost won VA by ourselves with no GOPe. This means we’re TAKING OVER the party, and will continue to do so.
Over the next year, once the RINO purge is done, the GOP might very well be US.

The Founders were extreme. They made a nation that was extremely good.

There are already two Democrat Parties. They just have different names. Do you mean the CPUSA, the SPUSA, and The Green Party...or did you mean the Democratic Socialists (DSA) and the National Socialists?
(of course that's way more than two)

Santorum was a Bush clone, if you liked Bush then you’d love Santorum. I would not vote for another Bush named Santorum.

I’m base, and Santorum did not excite me
not his pro union stances, his global warming stances, his attacks on other Republicans
no, takes more than being right on abortion to excite the educated base.
And FTR, his recent attacks on Cruz prove he is still an Arlen lover
and yes, I know, you hate when that is brought up
but RS did it to himself just a couple weeks ago.

how do you reconcile that with the actions being taken by the party? By defunding and deriding them. Only donate directly to candidates you like.

I can’t read these posts
..the NYT - scared to death that in the after math of Virginia, where the GOPe is embarrassed as their tactics failed
that there won’t be enough fighiting inside the GOP
.feeds the trolls with this one.
