With 76.9% in, Cucinelli is leading 47.8% to 45.3%.

With the same %, the D candidate for Lt. Gov is leading 53% to 47&.

Any thoughts as to what this may mean?

I think it's pretty simple -- McAuliffe is viewed by a sliver of the Democratic leaning electorate as being corrupt, so he's running behind his Lt Gov candidate.

Split tickets are common in Virginia. In 2001, the Dems won Gov and Lt. Gov while the GOP won AG. In 2005, the Dems won Gov while the GOP won Lt. Gov and AG.
