Only once the oppressor is taught, acknowleges and learns from the consequences of oppression can there be a levelling of the playing field. That’s what white lib professors in undergrad poli sci classes told me, anyways.

If a white person who has never owned a slave can be "punished" by a black person who has never been a slave, for historical atrocities committed under slavery, can an academic be punished for the atrocities committed under Marxism?

The theoretical answer to that is that slavery itself is irrelevant.

Liberals believe that we live in a white privilege society where black continue to be oppressed to this day. Levelling the playing field isn’t enough, true reconciliation can only take place when whites are made to feel, to experience first hand, what it’s like to be oppressed.

Once we understand that’s the philosophy underlying their actions, we can fully comprehend where their actions are designed to lead us.
