In the short term, this will likely be a good thing as well, because it stands in opposition to the hegemony of the EU, *and* to Germany endlessly bailing out the failing socialist EU nations.

And even if Germany again becomes a nation equipped with a military, hopefully they can pick up some of the slack the US has when there is a worthless Democrat POTUS.

No, that’s not what they are about at all. The EU is the brainchild of German elites, and they have the elites of other countries on board. Don’t be fooled. There is no “endless bailout” going on—those are loans, and with some very draconian payback terms; Germany’s elites did not hand those out unwillingly, although the German people were against it, never mind the people of now-debtor countries.

Do you think Germany will abandon the social market economy after instituting it at home first, and then across 27 other European nations by treaty after that?
