Ford friend Alexander Sandro Lisi charged with extortion related to the video, police chief says
Toronto Police have recovered the video that appears to show Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine, Toronto police Chief Bill Blair said Thursday.
The video files depict images that are consistent with what has previously been reported in the media, Blair said at a news conference on the heels of a release of documents used by police to obtain search warrants during their summer investigation.
Ford has since May refused to comment on the video that I have never seen or does not exist.
Blair also said alleged drug dealer and Ford friend Alexander Sandro Lisi, 35, was arrested Thursday morning and has been charged with extortion.
The Star earlier reported that Lisi, who was arrested Oct. 1 on drug charges, was involved in attempts to recover the video.

Is it fair trade crack?
Do the farmers get medical benefit plans and share in the profits?
“Is it fair trade crack?”
Only if it is made with Sudafed!
There must be few things finer than to be Chief of Police in a big city, and have video of the Mayor doing drugs.
I mean, hello catbird seat.
“Is it fair trade crack?”
“Do the farmers get medical benefit plans and share in the profits?”
Huh....crack farmers...who knew?
Them darn Canadians , always trying to mimic their Big Brother to the south.
Rob Ford is the guy who got himself elected Mayor on the slogan “He’s Not a Communist!”
So...his ultimate offense appears to be...not being a Communist.
Bucking for the Mayor of DC job?
“Hoser set me up, eh ?”
There’s a lot of truth in your statement.
Toronto has amalgamated, or annexed surrounding suburban towns and cities. Mayors mostly come from the core city, and represent the “progressive” urban elites. Ford is a “regular guy” type conservative from the burbs, who bears more than a passing resemblance (girth wise) to Chris Christie.
He’s been the target of a constant harassment campaign by the Toronto Star (Canada’s answer to the NYT — only from considerably deeper in left field), the CBC, and other MSM outlets. They simply can’t tolerate a suburban beer & burgers bumpkin occupying a Mayor’s office, which they believe belongs to one of their wine-sipping, tapas-munching effete urban elitists.
More seriously, amalgamation was “supposed” to provide the inner city with a constant flow of money from the suburbs. Ford, being a fiscal conservative, has reduced that flow to unacceptable levels (from the “progressives” viewpoint).
You might compare Ford’s woes to those of Scott Walker. I heavily discount everything written or said about him, by the MSM.
I wonder if a “b!tch” set him up...
With a crack-dealing friend.
LOL!
No another B!tch tried to set him up last spring:
“Former mayoral candidate Sarah Thomson says Mayor Rob Ford made inappropriate comments and grabbed her ass at a gala event Thursday night. But Ford staunchly denied the allegations, and now a witness has come forward backing him...”
“Richmond Hill Coun. Greg Beros, who was at the CJPAC event, told CityNews on Friday that he overheard Thomson say to her executive assistant, We need to go upstairs. We need to see if we cant get a picture of the mayors hand rubbing up against your butt. This would be great for a campaign. I looked at her and said Sarah with all due respect I dont think thats a very good idea. I dont think you should do that.
He wasn’t supposed to take the left’s shiny toy away, it’s pretty much been non stop dirty war against the guy ever since!

Someone’s gotta grow the cocoa leaves.
Yep, my brother in law coached High School football with him and said he was a stand up guy. He treated those kids and assistant coaches very well and they responded by going undefeated until they lost in the championship.
I’ll wait to pass judgement on this. Some of the pics are damning but they are just pictures with some seedy people. They want this conservative out so bad, it will be interesting how this unfolds.
I think you mean coca. Different plant altogether.
Or so the Toronto Red Star says.
Ford’s opponents raised over $250,000 on Kickstarter (or the like), to buy the alleged video, with it’s allegedly incriminating evidence. That was the price asked by the thugs, who purported to have the video. (Dare we say “extortion”?) The money was raised and offered — and no video was produced. The low-life scum that claimed they had the video, turned down $250,000 cash for it.
Are we now to believe that the video just turned up, with no money changing hands? This does not pass the smell test.
ROFL! I was trying to think of a quip along those lines, but you nailed it!
