America abandons its responsibility for Iranian dissidents in Iraq
Baltimore Sun ^ | October 28, 2013 | Thomas Cantwell

In 2003, I served as a senior military officer at Camp Ashraf, Iraq. In keeping with my responsibility as an oath-bound Army officer and under the Geneva Convention, I made a solemn promise to the group of 3,000 Iranian dissidents living there. I assumed U.S. Army responsibility for the security of these people, who were living in fear of being hunted by the Iranian regime and its allied Shiia death squads in Iraq. Initially considered "terrorists," the dissidents were detained, disarmed, confined, subjected to military intelligence and FBI screening and ultimately guaranteed protected persons status under the Geneva Convention. This responsibility was not merely mine but America's.

Last month, 52 of those same residents we swore to protect — and in some cases knew personally — were massacred by the very troops we trained and to which we handed responsibility for protection of the camp. It was the fifth such attack.

...

The attackers used explosives and U.S.-made small arms. They wore U.S.-provided uniforms and boots. The handcuffs used to tie the hands of unarmed men and women before they were shot through the head are U.S.-made. Video taken at the start of the attack shows the attackers employing U.S.-style tactical movement techniques. It is beyond the realm of possibility to believe that Iraqi troops were not directly involved.

Sickening, disgusting. It will come back to haunt us.

Obama has disengaged from fighting the enemy, and now across North Africa and the Mid East the enemy is getting re-entrenched, and committing atrocities. Soon they will be training all over those areas, and once again, bring their Jihad here.

Obama is a sick, twisted excuse for a US President. His leadership is destructive to this nation, both at home and abraoad.

This is MeK, a terrorist cult that has American blood on its hands.

They’re not our allies, the Rajavis are self described “Islamo-Marxists” that want to be dictators of Iran themselves.

They’ve been really good in the past few years of buying influence and using PR to disguise the fact that they’re just as evil as the mullahs, and murdered American personnel in the 70s.

The US under obama has betrayed everything good that America ever stood for and done it in our name. He hasn't been the only president to betray those who trusted us, but he has done it exponentially, deliberately, and with malice aforethought to uplift, serve, and preserve evil all over the world. His years are almost up.

This is a Threat Matrix list documenting threats within and without. Anyone wanting on or off please advise.

If you are going to cite history, you should start from the start. What the US did to Iran to enrich the British and british petroleum was shameful.

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The Abadan Crisis is overplayed and exaggerated by too many people with agendas. Mossadegh painted himself in a corner and lost. His alliance was built on support with the Communists and the Mullahs, and he illegally refused a lawful order from the Shah dismissing him from office.

AJAX was done to force the Shah to follow through on backing his constitutional authority when he ran away into exile, and it failed. Only after popular demonstrations shift the tide back did Mossadegh lose power, which of course Kermit Roosevelt took credit for.

I’m not defending Britain’s blatantly Colonialist foreign policy that triggered the economic crisis, but people of every political persuasion like to blame 1953 for 1979, when there’s a lot more to it than that.

Furthermore, MeK is still a bunch of terrorists.

It is never safe around Muslims IMO. They are taught how to disguise and roll play to Americans, not only over seas but here in the states as well. Do Americans really believe their Mosques and community centers are there for practicing Islam only???? They are taught far more than Islam....

We have such a dumb downed society now that even when the obvious is known Americans are in complete denial.
