The activists who oppose the name "Redskins" also oppose names such as "Eagles," "Cardinals" and a variety of other names they deem to be the property of the so-called "Native Americans." Almost 50 years ago I graduated from a high school whose team name was "Indians." The school closed in the early 80's due to population movement within the county.

Several years ago, the population moved back in and the school reopened. Now the team is named the "Gladiators."

So I guess it's not appropriate to have a team named after an ethnic group, but it's perfectly fine to name a team after a class of enslaved captives who are required to combat each other with deadly weapons and dispatch each other for the entertainment of a decadent class of Patricians.

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Excellent point, as the current media is nothing more than the Praetorian Guard.
