Title is bad: "Republicans Must Fix Obamacare, Not Destroy it: Ben Stein"
(Excerpt) Read more at finance.yahoo.com ...
Why? The Republic endured over two centuries without Obamacare. Why is it suddenly inperative that it succeed? I know the answer, of course: Saving Face. Saving Face for the First Black President.
Eff him and his face. Pull the plug.
ben stein is some weird sort of evolutionary glitch.
Fine Ben,I have an idea,Instead of going to a billion dollar web site, why not have Americans who want health insurance, get on the phone and call one of the insurance companies and get a policy. This will not only save trillions,Obama will have more time to play golf, and the 85% of the American people who like their health insurance and their doctor can keep it.What do you think of what I consider a terrific idea
I live Cavuto but Ben Stein has always taken Dem positions like this.
He was on FNC crying for a stimulus to be passed early 2009.
Ben is a better comedian and media personality than he is a person who understands the moral and economic damage of socialist programs. Socialism is based on the dangerous idea that we each must live at the expense of everyone else and that we will be better off collectively when we permit this to take place. It is a system whose foundation stones are lies, coveting and theft. It can only be conducted via coercion and at the extreme it brings death to anyone who declines to participate and even to its supporters.
Well, corruptocrats make BILLIONS off of products that save people from horrible legislation!!
You fix it by destroying it. Free markets require creative DESTRUCTION.
While I respect Ben Stein, he evidently doesn’t understand that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for public healthcare purposes. (Or he may be a phony conservative like many other celebrity “conservatives.”.)
The only way to fix Obamacare is if the states were to ratify an amendment to the Constituton granting Congress the speciific power to tax and spend for public healthcare purposes.
Is Obamacare in the constitution? I am so sick of this crap that whatever law comes down the pike, we are just supposed to accept it and move on. We have every right to try as hard as possible to get rid of this garbage while we still can.I don’t recall affordable health care as being mandated by our constitution. If a law is crap, get rid of the law.
I want to KILL it! Pull it up by the roots and feed it to the evil thieves of liberty who want to burden my children and grandchildren with weight of the parasite class.
That's the problem. give an inch and they take a mile. You get more of whatever you subsidize. And so on. government charity corrupts a nation.
RINOs will now be coming out of the woodwork to ...
Make socialism work!
“there is still time to do so”
There will always be time to do so. I am so tired of those who think there is a point where we can’t repeal or change something.
They have destroyed the institution of marriage after thousands of years, they are repealing the second amendment after 200+ years. The left never ever throws up its hands and says “Well, we can’t change that law no matter how much we would like to”
It is pathetic and repulsive to see people imply that we have to surrender an issue at some point. It’s a loser mentality.
Ben is liberal on a lot of issues
and it’s yielding to the devil when he brags in your face. when the devil is a pip squeak before God. but it’s up to us whether to buy his sulfurous baloney.
bump
Congress must “fix it”, hmm? With what, a magic “fix it” spell? I don’t think Ben is tracking this thing through the usual political arc, but believe me the Dems are. What they want most at the moment is to share the blame. Fixing anything isn’t really high on the agenda.
Republicans would be well served by running silently for a while.
