No offense to my AR FRiends, but I still think the FN FAL is the perfect 7.62 NATO platform.

Extra large for your viewing pleasure. Nice milled rail mounts are available to replace the standard dust cover.

I’ve seen Mexicans holding FN FALs at the border, Matamoros and San Ysdro.
Two things:
1. It’s almost as tall as they are; and,
2. They’re serious about their border, even if we—the Dems and Dem-lites—aren’t.

I have both AR and FAL. The FAL is a good gun, but the AR has better ergonomics and better trigger and better accuracy most of the time out of the box...not to say you can’t tweak the FAL.

In addition, you have to agree, that the AR system is Barbie for Men. So many additions...

Enjoy whatever you shoot...just shoot. :)

Sorry dude, too lanky, clunky and unwieldy. I’ll go with my Armalite AR 10 any day. That’s before I lost it in a boating accident of course.

I have the FN FAL with a infraed scope on it that adjust for bullet drop/inclination. It’s shockingly good.
