It wouldn’t surprise me if Obama decides to use the delay of a year for the individual mandate as a bargaining chip for something else he wants. The GOP has given him an exit ramp.

the socialists want it to fail. They never wanted it in the first place. That is why it is set up the way it is. It was just a huge money transfer to his buddies..
Once it fails (and it will) they will be able to install single payer. That is their end game.

I just got finished going round and round with a stupid liberal(are there any other kind?) who told me this: “I haven’t seen droves of Canadians coming here to take advantage of our health care system’’. I don’t know about anyone else but this was so breathtakingly stupid my head is still spinning.

The Individual Mandate was delayed?
Was that part of the deal? I thought it didn’t happen.
In fact, I hope it didn’t happen. It was silly unless EVERY EXEMPTION and WAIVER were disallowed.

Tell this dope that the very expensive medication that I take, that improved my life immeasurably, is simply unavailable in Canada. In the UK, people are entitled to one monthly treatment under the NHS.
Without this med, people live with constant agonizing pain, and can suffer a variety of other debilitating symptoms. I almost lost sight in one eye, prior to treatment.

Living near Syracuse, NY we have a lot of Canadians drive down to go to the mall or see a doctor. Sometimes both!

Brother you ain't kidding. When my Canadian daughter-in-law’s father needed open-heart surgery he and his wife made a bee-line straight for here. To get an appointment to just be seen by a Canadian doctor(they live in Calgary) would have been a six-month wait. The surgery, if he had been deemed ''eligible''(if you know you need the surgery how is that not ''eligible''?) would have been at least a year. My daughter-in-laws parents live six months of the year in Calgary and the other six in Scottsdale, Arizona. When my wife and I have them here in Jersey at Christmas his wife never shuts up about her ''wonderful'' Canadian health care''. I feel like smacking her off the chair.
