Stick the people with Obamacare and take $2.9 billion for Kentucky. The SOB knows how to lead alright.

The people of Kentucky should give Mitch a taste of his own medicine. They should say thanks for the payoff, but still kick his ass out.

After all, he’s been backstabbing them for years!

Yeah, what else did we expect. If it isn’t Kansas cornhusker, it’s funding Kentucky’s favorite bitch Mitch. It never ends with these belly crawlers.

This may be the most insulting part of the deal - or, maybe, the gift of $175,000 to Lautencorpse's wife - but the most damaging part is Congress ceding control of the debt ceiling to the WH. That is unconscionable derliction of Constitutional duty.

When the bill is drafted that closes America for good, there will be billion-dollar earmarks to various lawmakers.

Yes, they are that traitorous.

There have been at least three other threads on this already.

The follow up reporting is that McConnell didn’t request this, it was put in by Obama and Reid.

No official reason why, but my conclusion is that they wanted to cause McConnell problems in the primary.

Truth is that McConnell may be a lot of things, and deserves a heck of a lot of the anger that comes his way, but he’s not stupid. Doing something like this when faced with a serious primary challenge is really, really stupid.

I think we’re getting played here by Obama and Reid. There are PLENTY of good reasons to support and vote for Bevins. Let’s focus on those ...

Billions to KY for some BS project...What a coinkydink. Shouldn’t we all just admit that congress is full of criminals and imprison them?

I suggest that the good people of America put up a barbed-wire wall and name the new penitentiary the District Prison.

I wonder how many votes Mitch thinks this will be worth in the next election.

There’s got to be some fairly specific calculation going on here.

If this is an inside baseball FU as you say then McConnell is free to return fire . I’ll buy you a clue. He never does engage the Dems and won’t in this case either. So in the end he really deserves no quarter for anything.

Gosh silly us — and we thought he put this deal together to avoid default.

He should be dragged before a microphone and peppered with questions about this mercilessly until he volunteers to remove it from the bill.

To be fair, work on river structures on the major US rivers affects adjoining States and States both upstream and downstream.

That being said, McConnell is a 'ho and needs to be defeated either in the Primary (preferable) or the General.

This project seems to have some serious issues. Started in 1995 it is not expected to be completed until 2020. Original cost apparently $0.7B, now ballooned to $2.9B.

This whole issue goes way beyond KY.

McConnell-Reid Deal Includes $3 Billion Earmark for Kentucky Project

And that, my friends, is how the Washington Establishment gets things done!!

...ole Mitch knew it was in Reid's bill and didn't care what i looked like or that he'd take heat for it.

Nope, as long as there was a huge payoff for support & vote.

Reid bought McConnell's vote and support in broad daylight!

No, Princess McConnell put another bad deal together so he could go back to hiding under his desk. His brand of invisible non - leadership is why the GOP loses.
