*The GOP is no longer a viable political party. If they cannot make the case that congress should not be exempt from Obamacare the party is dead. *

Listening to the RINO’s talk about the shut down was like listening to Dr. Smith when a space creature comes after the crew.

Americans should ALWAYS vote. Our forefathers fought for the right. VOTE, even if you don’t pull lever. It is a right that thousands have died for.

How many republican congress critters swore to repeal 0bamacare during their most recent campaigns for office? How many of them voted for the spending bill last night, surrendering to 0bama, Reid, and Pelosi?

I suppose when the state robs other for yourself it sounds like security. Except that the cuts they take are enormous and ultimately, once the orphan is of no use, it is discarded, as is done in the charity exploitation gangs of Karachi.

RE :”The GOP is no longer a viable political party. If they cannot make the case that congress should not be exempt from Obamacare the party is dead.”

Congress still has to join the exchanges if the site ever works, they just get that $$$ to pay for it.

It didnt help the case when some House GOP members joined with Dems in opposing that final pulled CR that would have taken that subsity away, after getting that Liberty fund memo telling them to, Tuesday night.

After that Bohner dropped that bill and decided to accept whatever crap the Senate sent them.

And now they all, these Senators, House members, are personally protected.

-——Politics is war..-——

Yes, you are correct. In America, civil war. That is, the battles are fought in a civil manner.

That is perhaps the problem. Case in point Lamar Alexander. He prefers being civil to being a warrior. Rather than take to the Senate floor, use his power and ability to vigorously denounce the tyrants that are Dingy Harry and the president, he makes gentlemanly statements. Rather than create figurative blood and brain matter in the floor, he is gentlemanly.

The thing is, if these Republicans HAD A PLAN that wasn’t enabling the Assclown, they might have some kind of street cred.

They don’t....at least none I’ve seen.

The media reports their attacks on fellow Republicans more than they report any other news.

RE :”Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire: The strategy was not smart from the beginning…it’s demonstrable on its face because the government was shut down and the health care exchanges were open.”

I questioned this one from the start.
This itself was an indication how it would end.

Exactly right! That is what its all about.

Sounds like you may have some familiarity with life on Capitol Hill. Its all about self-aggrandizement and social status. Its an elite club and they cherish their membership in it.

Ted Cruz upset the serenity of the collegial club because he dared to take a stand. This put pressure on the others and exposed their hypocrisy.

Now Cruz must be punished for his “wayward” behavior. Mike Lee will also receive retribution for speaking out. They have crossed the line in the eyes of many in the Senate.

It is bad strategy to stand for nothing in particular, as do the Establishment Republicans. They are history.

**********
The GOP is not committed to anything except deceiving its naive base. It wants your money and your votes, but not your principles.

Stick a fork in the GOP. It is done.

He may have been a turkey but he is not Obama. Obama won the election, he won the budget battle and next he is going to win the worst possible immigration reform bill possible. Whole different ball game if Romney had won.

I agree, unfortunately, many right here on FR are to blame for getting Obama reelected because “there is no difference between Obama and Romney”.

Right on. Exactly on point.

So what you are saying is that a Romney administration would have balanced the budget, eliminating any future need to raise the debt ceiling?

No, what we would have now is the Democrats, and their lapdog accomplices in the media, screaming at the top of their lungs about the fiscal irresponsibility of the Republicans, just like they have done in the past.

The Republican Party is dead. The vast majority of the so-called “representatives” in DC do NOT represent America, including the majority of Republicans. We have gone way beyond the tipping point. The ballot box will never rectify this situation. It’s time for a divorce.

Ayotte in a prepared speech:

"In prepared remarks, Ayotte recalled being embarrassed recently when confronted about the gridlock by her 9-year-old daughter.

“Mom, why can’t you just get the government open? What’s wrong?” Ayotte related.

Members of Congress need to remember the advice they’ve given their children, she said."

No offense meant, or not too much, but Ayotte's daughter asked the wrong question. She should have said:

"Mommy, why are you such a coward? Why did you chicken out and sacrifice my future? Are you happy that you have already bankrupted me and my generation?"

And Ayotte should have answered:

"I'm sorry honey, but yes, I am a coward. I am a stupid female and like a lot of females, I shut up and go along when men yell at me. But good luck anyway."

-——The GOP is not committed to anything except deceiving its naive base——

prefer to believe differently. Rather than deceiving, the GOP e has a liberal faction but mostly they are old and not really aware of the change.

My analogy is Poland at the time of the German invasion. Their gallant army resisted. The cavalry on horses charged the Panzers and all died in the process.

I called Ayotte’s office to let them know she is not fooling anyone.

I believe you’re incorrect.

Cruz and Lee are going to be attacked by the left (of both parties) but that will quickly switch.

The two are the beginning. Along with Palin.

Thank you. She totally ignored the decades of suffering the people are going to endure because people like her didn’t stand up to tyranny when they had the chance. The future of her daughter is black. Ayotte should weep for what she has done to her own family.
