why on earth should it cost 60 grand a day to operate vacant land? I could easily do it on 60 grand a year

Spoke to a storm trooper...uh...park ranger two weekends ago about the same thing. How much could it cost? He proceeded to list the things that aren’t being done...rest rooms locked up because no one to clean them, no one to pick up trash, no one to clear the trails...
So I said...
“So you’re an overpaid janitor in a really nice uniform?”
He paused, looked thoughtful, and said, “I MANAGE the overpaid janitors.”
He seemed to be proud of the fact that they were all very well paid.

I'm thinking the same thing. My plant cost 38K per day to operate. Motors, labor,Diesel fuel, capital costs, gases, maintenance, etc.
If this park cost 65K per day, show me. As for the states that are paying to fund these costs, surely you can find some consultant to investigate cost savings for operational efficiencies.
