Obamacare is such a fraud.
If the intent is to subsidize health insurance up to 4x the poverty level—which I think is approximately what the exchanges do, then that can simply be accomplished through the filing of tax returns. (And no, I don’t think people should be subsidized up to 4x the poverty level.)
If the intent is to insure those with uninsurable pre-existing conditions, then some states have already been handling that with high-risk pools for state subsidies.
There is no reason on earth to put together those monster exchanges that, yes, good ol’ Mitt Romney pioneered, unless you’re planning to roll over to a fully nationalized system as soon as you can get away with it.
Stewart unabashedly leads the cheering audience in pushing for a fully nationalized system, despite the solid evidence this government cannot even get the current website to function. Now, I realize that Stewart's audience is made up of committed liberals, but the lack of critical thought is appalling, not to mention frightening.
